MACHINED RESCUE Single Pulley
Machined pulleys are designed and manufactured like no other pulley in the world. Starting as a solid block of T6 aluminum, the pulley side plates are milled in such a way as to leave the material where it is most needed to provide strength. And because the side plate starts as a solid block, the pulley shaft is left as an integrated part of the side plate, increasing its overall strength and rigidity.
- A solid block of aluminum will be CNC machined into a side plate.
- Side plate is left thicker where it is important for strength. Further down the pulley, the material is cut away to make it lighter.
- Integrated axle in the side plate to add strength and rigidity to the pulley, eliminating slack or play in the plates.
- Bearing and pulley fit perfectly into the shaft part of the side plate.
- A recess allows the bolt to sit flush with the side plate, unlike other pulleys that may use a rivet or a traditional bolt with a large head and a nut protruding on both sides .
